About AfterDark Ambients

AfterDark Ambients is a Glasgow-based car ambient lighting installation service specialising in app-controlled RGB interior lighting upgrades. We fit lighting across dashboards, door cards, handles, storage areas and footwells.

Our aim is simple: clean installs, strong presentation and a modern AfterDark look. All work is bookings only so each vehicle gets the time and attention it needs.

How long does installation take?+
Most installs take several hours depending on the vehicle and package. The final time will be confirmed before booking.
Are the lights app controlled?+
Yes. All packages include app setup so you can control colours, brightness and modes from your phone.
Do prices include fitting?+
Yes. The listed prices are fitted prices, but some vehicles or custom requests may affect the final price.
Can I walk in?+
No — installs are bookings only. Please message first so we can confirm the right package, time and details for your car.
Where are you based?+
We are based at 15–17 Scotland Street, 2nd Floor, Kinning Park, Glasgow, G5 8NB. Bookings only. There is no reception for AfterDark Ambients, so please call or message when you arrive and we'll come down to meet you.

Policies

Booking Terms & Policies

Please read the following before confirming your appointment.

By paying a deposit and confirming an appointment with AfterDark Ambients, you agree to the booking and installation terms below.

Booking Deposits+
  • A deposit is required to secure your appointment.
  • Deposits are non-refundable once a booking is confirmed.
  • This is because your appointment time is reserved specifically for you and, where applicable, vehicle-specific parts or kits may be ordered in advance.
  • If you need to change your appointment, we will normally allow the deposit to be transferred to a new suitable date, subject to availability.
Cancellations & Rescheduling+
  • Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange.
  • Cancelling a booking does not automatically entitle you to a deposit refund.
  • If vehicle-specific parts have already been ordered or delivered, the deposit remains non-refundable.
Installation & Vehicle Compatibility+
  • Every vehicle is different, and some requested lighting locations or optional extras may not be physically possible due to the design of the vehicle, trims, wiring, door connectors or factory electronics.
  • We will always aim to complete the agreed setup, but certain parts of an installation may need to be altered or omitted if they cannot be fitted safely or professionally.
  • You will not be charged for optional extras we are unable to fit.
  • Aftermarket ambient lighting is not guaranteed to exactly match factory lighting in colour, brightness, behaviour or control method.
Aftermarket Electrical Installations+
  • Some vehicles may require additional wiring or alternative power routes where a suitable power supply is not available in the required area.
  • Additional labour may be chargeable if considerably more work is required than originally expected. We will let you know before any additional chargeable work is carried out.
Warranty+
  • Ambient lighting kits and installations include a 1-year warranty covering supplied parts and installation faults.
  • The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, modifications carried out by another person/business, damage caused by unrelated vehicle faults, or customer-supplied parts unless specifically agreed.
  • Any warranty issue must first be inspected by AfterDark Ambients before repairs or replacements are authorised.
Customer-Supplied Parts+
  • If we agree to install parts you supply, we cannot guarantee the quality, compatibility or reliability of those parts.
  • Labour charges may still apply if a customer-supplied component is faulty or incompatible.
Collection & Payment+
  • Any remaining balance is due when the installation is completed, unless agreed otherwise beforehand.
  • Please inspect the installation and raise any immediate concerns when collecting your vehicle.
